Template:Link note

Revision as of 16:37, 15 February 2024 by Wikipedia>Jdlrobson (Use CSS variable with fallback. mw:Recommendations_for_night_mode_compatibility_on_Wikimedia_wikis#Use_CSS_design_tokens_with_fallback_for_background_and_text_where_possible. Note: I realize these colors are not identical but they are close enough and it's preferable to have readable text in these skins for night mode.)

This template can be used to create a "link note" which can be used to flag an external link for some reason, such as with {{registration required}}. It can add pages to a category to track such links as well. Note that this is an informational template rather than a cleanup tag: for issues which require cleanup, use {{fix}}.

Usage

{{link note|note=Registration required|cat=Pages containing links or citations to sites that require registration}}

The text after "note=" is displayed in the text in parentheses, e.g. (Registration required)
