Since we don't know your build it's impossible to determine how any weapon will increase your thermal level. Regardless, Shock Cannons produce 10 times more heat than Multicannons and about 3 times more than Burst lasers. As with any build and any loadout, your mileage will vary, there is no generic answer since even the ship itself may run cooler before engineering, e.g. a Python may handle thermal increases better than a Mamba.
