"but remember to mount a Detailed Surface Scanner on your ship. It will make it much easier to find the exact positions of the biological and geological surface locations before you land."

Wouldn't that make one hundred times more sense if the tables for the crystalline shards actually listed the name of the sites?  Most have quite a number of sites and in most only one of them has crystalline shards.  Without knowing which site to target, the result is that you still have to do it the hard way and look up the coordinates then find the only still working bearing calculator site and go through the hoops to try to somewhat hold a perfect bearing while the ship tries it's best to keep you from actually doing that.  Right now the closest thing you can do is head towards the coordinates the hardest possible way and then, as you get close spin around and look for the closest target.  That helps a little, but not enough to warrant giving up a module slot to a scanner unless you just already had one to spare.

It doesn't have to be complicated.  For example, B10 for "biological site 10."  G10 for "geolegical 10."  Or if it's only biological (it sounds like it may be) sites it wouldn't even need that much -- just the number.  Eg just "10" in an appropriate column.

BTW, this doesn't even list the coordinates, so the listing on this particular page isn't very useful on its own.  Either it should expand to include necessary data to be useful or there's no point in having a table at all if people are expected to search for the data on other sites anyway.
