The 2 downsides to this ship imo are the weak shields (230 mj's of bi-weaves is just doesn't hold up to a pa volley) and extremely weak lat thrusters. It is almost impossible to be evasive in this ship simply because it tends to drift in a straight line and almost no amount of lateral thruster imput will change that to any extent. Other than that I agree it is a great ship and more fun to fly than the chief imo.
