You can dump them and pick them up, provided you do it quickly. But you need to dump them all, or you won't get a bonus allocation (23). Dump them close to the station - so you will get fined. Don't enter the hangar, or you might reset the instance. When you dump them, any more than 20 cans in space will explode.
