I updated the wiki, and now I'm actually not sure what the point in burst lasers is at all. I always supposed they were a halfway house between pulse and beam, but in reality they're a very minimal upgrade for pulse. You could get rid of either pulse or burst from the game totally at the moment, and I'm not sure anyone would notice.

Proof being that the stats in this wiki hadn't been updated since the first release version of the game...
