I bought a cutter just so I could run wing trading missions solo, usually for expensive stuff like gold or progenitor cells. With A-rated and engineered FSD, I can usually find what I need within 1 jump, 2-3 jumps at most.  If I get interdicted, I just boost away and start charging the FSD, since it can't get masslocked by anything but a t-10, and with upgraded thrustes and a bunch of shield boosters, you'll be out of anyone's range with barely any damage to shields. Depending on the commodity and the amount requested, I make a profit of  5-20 mil per mission. You can also get materials without losing out on too much cash if you prefer that type of mission reward.
