I mean the standard Krait Mk.2 already is a pretty solid explorer.

Now that I think of it, WHAT IF the Phantom has been retrofitted to somehow fit a Class 6 FSD? I looked into the stats and a Phantom-class ship should have the powergrid and size needed to fit a class 6 FSD.

A class 6 FSD draws only 25% more power than a class 5 and has twice the mass. Wouldn't be unreasonable to assume someone cannibalized a hardpoint, 2 canopies and downsized a bunch of optional internals to squeeze in an oversized FSD. After all, a Krait Phantom is a standard Krait Mk.2 retrofitted with Guardian Tech.
