I've never thought of doing this in solo but it's a great idea. I've encountered countless bugs with NPC interdictions deciding I'd submitted to them at half throttle then getting blown to dust, Pirates after some cargo 12,000 LY from the bubble, getting blown up in a starport because an NPC CMDR decides to come in the wrong side of the airlock or smash into you as you're getting released. I've always just shrugged and tried not to uninstall the game but this is a better solution.

Combat logging as a response to game-breaking bugs in solo is perfectly acceptable, and I will be doing so from now on.
