Why would they deliberately make a better version of the "best" all around ship that already exists in the game?  Trades better than any other medium ship, has the most firepower of any medium ship (best overall armor piercing to hardpoint and distributor ratio), while having exceptional modified jump range.  

Seriously it's like nobody who plays games has any idea what goes into game design or balance.  

Also lol they made the Krait which is essentially just a gimped multirole Python but dedicated for combat with an SLF.  It's faster and lighter with slightly less durability and one whole less size 6 slot, but it is *literally* identical in every other on paper aspect.  Which is hilarious.
