To the respondee: That Imperial slavery, like Roman slavery, is evil is self evident to anyone with even a passing knowledge of classical slavery.

The onus is on the writer(s) of the article to provide evidence to the contrary. If Imperial slaves are like “9-5” workers (LOL) then readers need to see citations. They do not.

Instead I see a bunch of non-verified statements.

There is a reason why Rome was constantly fighting slave rebellions. Because being slave in Rome was a brutal and miserable existence.
