You can use this template to tell other human editors you are requesting the immediate archiving of a talk section when you are unsure of how to do that yourself, or whether it is even appropriate. Do note there are circumstances where it would be inappropriate to use this template instead of removing content right away, please see WP:LIBEL.

This template was created for a related but much more specific purpose: for transcluding into talk page sections to trigger Template:U to immediately archive that section, using its |archivenow= optional parameter. However, for this purpose consider using the version at {{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}} instead, as this makes it clear your message is intended for the bot.

For example, the Wikipedia:WikiProject Resource Exchange/Resource Request uses ClueBot III's |archivenow= parameter to allow editors to indicate their requests have been fulfilled (so the bot archives that section right away rather than wait until conditions set by other parameters such as |age= are satisfied). This particular page allows editors to indicate this by using several strings/templates including {{User:ClueBot III/ArchiveNow}} but not {{Archive now}}.

On pages archived manually or not at all, by other archive bots, as well as pages archived by ClueBot without |archivenow= set up correctly, this template does nothing except display its message to other human editors.
