I suggest that the tiny section on slavery is taken out. It seems like mostly conjecture and the evidence is kinda thin.

The section argues that the Alliance has pro-slavery member states, both for Imperial and regular slavery. Its “evidence” is that there are anarchy Alliance systems where slaves are not considered illegal.

There’s three big problems with that evidence though:

1. The same is true for Federal systems. In fact, according to EDDB, there are THREE TIMES as many Fed systems where slaves may be bought and sold than the Alliance. But the lore explicitly states slavery is illegal in Fed space, full stop. 2. Most anarchy minor factions are pirates or other criminal organizations. 3. Galnet and the Codex make clear that the Alliance isn’t perfect, but neither mention slavery anywhere in it. It seems like a strange oversight for what should be a big part of the canon, if it were true.

Anarchy systems are simply places where the BGS has allowed the local criminal faction to grow so strong that the other minor factions become powerless. This doesn’t mean that the Federation or Alliance allow slaver member states. It means that the Federation and Alliance law enforcement have lost control of those systems.
