Flame Nebula

The Flame Nebula, also known as NGC 2024, is a nebula in the Inner Orion Spur centered on the Trapezium Sector AF-Z c2 system. It is approximately 1,500 light-years away from Sol, and is six light-years across. It is dwarfed by the nearby Barnard's Loop, and also sits between the Orion and Horsehead nebulae.
