The current sovereign ruler of the Empire faction is Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval.
Hengist Duval came to power in 3233 after the death of is father, the former Emperor, Hesketh Duval.
Hengist Duval was assassinated on August 5, 3301, with no heir apparent.[1]
Hengist Duval retained the throne until a successor was enthroned. Arissa was selected as successor by a majority Senate vote,[2] with the coronation (and thus transfer of title) scheduled for the 18th of October, 3301.[3] Arissa Lavigny-Duval was crowned Emperor in a ceremony at the Imperial Palace, on Capitol in the Achenar system.[4]
