Cannon

Revision as of 19:06, 28 December 2014 by 88.112.91.114 (talk) (→Buying ammunition: changed error I did :P)

A cannon is a large projectile based weapon that fires a large caliber round very similar to a current day howitzer. It uses ammunition and therefore will need to be replenished every so often although your ship is capable of carrying a very large amount of reserve ammunition making restocking not a constant priority.

— In-Game Description

Currently the cannon is available in all three forms of fixed, gimballed and turreted versions.

Buying ammunition

When all your cannon ammunition has been used up, you can replenish it by docking in a station and selecting the Fuel and Munitions menu. From the Munitions menu you can purchase a new stock of ammunition for your cannons.

Ammunition costs 200 per unit, in this case one unit meaning 10 rounds (not clip size). So, replenishing all of your ammunition on one cannon costs 2100.

  • Damage, DPS, and Thermal Load are all based upon the in-game display which is basically an "out of 10" scale thus the values for these sections should be assumed as approximations.
-* This ammunition count is the amount stored on your ship, so real MAX ammunition is 105, if you count rounds already loaded to your cannon.
