When used by itself:

• From a former Swiss municipality: This is a redirect from a title for a former Swiss municipality to the municipality into which it was incorporated and into the article of which it may have been merged. This redirect also populates Category:Redirects with possibilities.
  • With time, this topic may become an article of its own. This redirect may be replaced with an article started from scratch and carved out of the target page. When appropriate, article categories may also be added to the redirect page.
  • Do not replace these redirected links with a link directly to the target page.

Usage

Use this rcat template on mainspace redirects only.

• This redirect category (rcat) populates Category:Redirects from former Swiss municipalities, Category:Redirects with possibilities and Category:Printworthy redirects by default. In 2003, efforts were begun to support the Wikimedia Foundation's goal of increasing access and availability of Wikipedia articles in printed versions. Redirects from former Swiss municipalities are suitable for a printed version. In other words they are printworthy.

• Add this rcat to a redirect (not a talk-page redirect) in the following manner:
