Pilots' Federation District
The Pilots' Federation has issued you with the Pilots' Federation District Permit. This permit grants access to Pilots' Federation Space, consisting of training systems to ensure you will be among Commanders of a similar experience level.
While you are picking up the basics, you will be granted a significant discount on any insurance rebuy payments needed in the event of ship loss. This will last until you attain an increase in any Pilots' Federation rank.
In time your training opportunities here will be completed, and you will feel confident enough to explore the galaxy. The Pilots' Federation District Permit will then be removed along with access to these systems once you have docked at a starport outside of this zone.
Good luck and fly safe, Commander!— "Pilots' Federation District Permit Issued" message
The Pilots' Federation District is a subset of star systems within the Core Systems governed by the Pilots Federation and restricted to newly-licensed pilots who have no ranks in Combat, Trade, or Exploration. Stations in these systems offer simple, low-paying missions that can be completed even in a basic Sidewinder MkI, and a rudimentary Outfitting selection.
Once a novice pilot gains their first rank in Combat, Trade, or Exploration, they are offered a graduation mission that guides them to the systems outside the Pilots' Federation District, and the permit required to access the district is then permanently revoked.[1][2]
District Systems
The Pilots' Federation District consists of six inhabited systems and four uninhabited systems. Accessing these systems requires the Pilots' Federation District Permit. New pilots will always start at Mawson Dock in Dromi.
