Mycoid
The Mycoid Virus is a bioweapon that was developed by INRA. It was used by INRA to repel the first Thargoid invasion centuries ago.
The biological agent could incapacitate Thargoid technology. It was created by a junior researcher specialized in agricultural science. He researched the recovered Thargoid technology at a secret INRA base called Hollis Gateway (Hermitage system, planet 4 A, coordinates: -53.7 // 157.6).[1]
The abandoned base features large storage tanks with presumably the Mycoid virus. A corroded substance is spilled all over the place. The ancient wreckage of a Thargoid Scout has a similar corroded substance on its hull. This could be evidence that the Mycoid virus incapacitated their ships.
