Taipan
The Taipan Fighter is a fighter included in the Elite Dangerous: Horizons 2.2 update.[1] As with the F63 Condor and Imperial Fighter, the Taipan is a ship-launched fighter that can be deployed from a Fighter Hangar module. Of the three fighters, the Taipan is not as fast as the Condor or as maneuverable as the Imperial, but it does have the most armor and shields.
The Taipan short-range fighter is Faulcon deLacy’s response to the success of Core Dynamic’s F-63 Condor and the Imperial Fighter designed by Gutamaya Shipyards for the Imperial Navy. The export restrictions on those models has left a wide gap in the market that Faulcon deLacy intends to exploit with the Taipan.
Variants
Like the F63 Condor and Imperial Fighter, the Taipan is available in 5 variants, which differ only in weapons and utility slot, and slightly in the top and boost speed.
