Thargoid Barnacle Matrix

Barnacle Matrices are newly discovered Thargoid surface structures that have been detected in a number of star systems with the Thargoid Control status that feature landable worlds with Ammonia atmospheres. Unlike traditional barnacles, these structures are vast, clustered in areas up to several kilometers across and guarded by Thargoid Revenants.

The exact purpose of these new sites is currently unknown, though sounds and tremors in the regions suggest they are still growing, while many speculate they could be the beginnings of an active Thargoid colonization effort within human territory.
