“Elite: Dangerous” is the latest installment of a long series of epic space games, starting with "Elite" - one of the most successful games of the 1980s. In the 1990s, David Braben created the sequels Frontier: Elite II and Frontier: First Encounters.
GOOD NEWS! E:D reached it's target of £1.25M on Kickstarter on 02-01-2013. This game will be made!
BETTER NEWS! E:D reached the highest of its stretch goals. Now there will be Mac support 3 months after PC launch and there will be an additional 10 ships in the game at launch! Funding completed 05-01-2013 00:00.
Why Does This Wiki Exist?
This wiki was created to allow collection of game documentation, how-to articles, theory and game data about Elite: Dangerous, Frontier Developments' latest project.
Obviously, the game doesn't exist yet, so users are welcome to post information about the game released so far and during the development, alpha and beta phases. Once the game is released, speculative and design related pages will be moved to make way for facts and data about the game and updates.
