Class 1 burst laser

Template:Quote The Burst Laser is an energy weapon that emits a burst of three laser blasts with each shot. Burst Lasers can inflict more damage per shot than a Pulse Laser provided that each blast hits its target.

Usage

As with other laser weapons, the Burst Laser inflicts thermal damage, and so shields have a resistance penalty against them. Armour piercing capability is low, but slightly higher than that of Beam Lasers, making them less effective against hulls than shields. Burst Lasers require more power to use and generate more heat than a Pulse Laser, but not as much so as a Beam Laser. The weapon's range is 3000m but Damage Falloff begins at 500m.
