The Anti-Xeno Initiative is a player group and squadron dedicated to protecting humanity from the Thargoid threat. They defend systems targeted by xeno aggressors, study their technology and behavior, and perfect battle tactics. Commanders of any skill level who seek to save the galaxy, kill some aliens, conduct research, or hone their skills are welcome to join.
Overview
The Anti-Xeno Initiative was founded by CMDR Gluttony Fang on 15th of November 3303. They are the largest dedicated AX (anti-xeno) player group in Elite Dangerous and act as a hub for the broader AX Community. They are partnered with Canonn Interstellar Research who provides the AXI with the latest findings related to humanity's defense. They also coordinate defense efforts with other player groups in the pursuit of protecting human lives.
Members
The membership in AXI is non-binding, meaning commanders can also be a part of any other player group they desire. They have people of all walks of life, all skill levels, and all matter of allegiance. The AXI are completely independent and apolitical—they do not support or oppose any faction, power or group, unless they are at direct odds with the AXI's primary mission. In addition to having some of the best AX pilots in the galaxy, the AXI also have a sizeable contingent of PvP pilots whose purpose is to repel any attempts by other commanders to disrupt AX operations.
CMDR Mechan
A notable member is CMDR Mechan. He is the founder of the Xeno Strike Force, a producer of Anti-Xeno Academy, and an Overseer of the Anti Xeno Initiative.[1] He was the first to solo a Thargoid Hydra in an Eagle Mk II, an Adder, and a Sidewinder. He also published a series of tutorials and "how to" videos related to Anti-Xeno combat on his YouTube channel.[1] Outside of ED, he's known as Astyrrean.
