Pulse Laser
A pulse laser is mounted on one of your ship's hardpoints and needs assigning to a fire group before you can use it. It's an energy weapon that causes immediate damage to any ship it intersects at effective range. Pulse lasers deliver a significant amount of damage in a single hit. Unlike beam lasers that continue to cause damage as long as they are active, a pulse laser will only damage a ship that intersects its path when it is fired. Pulse lasers do not overheat as quickly as beam lasers.
Pulse lasers are available as both fixed and gimbaled mounted weapons.
