Enhanced AX Multi-cannon

The Enhanced AX Multi-cannon is a variant of the AX multi-cannon created by Aegis. Turreted, Fixed and Gimballed variants were introduced in various Community Goals during the Thargoid war, in both Class 2 and Class 3 versions. They can be purchased in the outfitting of Rescue Ships.

The Enhanced AX Multi-cannon

Rapid-fire projectile weapon on a gimballed mount. It fires small-calibre shells tipped with a compound hazardous to Tharoig vessels. These are especially useful against exposed Thargoid Interceptor hearts. This enhanced version grants improved damage output to each projectile. There is a limit of 4 experimental modules per vessel.

Similarly to the regular variant, the Enhanced AX Multi-cannon is designed primarily for combat against Thargoid ships, and consequently deals less damage against conventional human ships than a standard Multi-cannon.
