Expanding into the passenger liner market, Zorgon Peterson presents the Lynx Highliner. This medium-sized vessel has considerable passenger cabin capacity potential, a notable jump range and good straight-line speed. The Lynx Highliner is also surprisingly robust, with solid defences offering protection from external threats.

— In-Game Description

The Lynx Highliner is a medium passenger liner ship produced by Zorgon Peterson. Designed for passenger safety and comfort,[1] it features business and economy class cabins and can be outfitted with Mk II cabins. It was released for credits and Odyssey owners on 28 April 2026.[1][2]

Overview

Lynx hardpoints convergence

The Lynx Highliner was designed for passenger comfort and safety.[1] It can carry up to 225 passengers.[2] It has a high shield and hull strength.[1] It is optimized for defense with 1 large and 4 medium hardpoints.[1] This makes it the most secure passenger liner to date.[1] The cockpit is refurbished from the Adder.

The Lynx's Large hardpoint is located on top of the middle of the ship. Its Medium hardpoints are placed in pairs on the sides; one in front not far behind the cockpit, the other in back where the hull flares outward leading to the engines.

There is one Utility hardpoint located underneath the ship next to the cargo hatch; two more are located either side of the Large hardpoint, and the fourth is atop the back of the ship.

Unlike other ships, the Lynx has two entrances, both of which are within the ship's chassis (one near the front, one near the back) instead of situated externally. Boarding ramps extend from the entrances and provide access when the ship has landed.

Mk. II Business & Economy Passenger Cabins were added with the Lynx Highliner update (4.3.3.0).[2] These have a 1.5x increase in passenger capacity and can currently only be equipped by the Lynx Highliner.[2]

Unlike the line of Saud Kruger passenger liners, the Lynx Highliner cannot equip Luxury Passenger Cabins.

Development

Operations was delayed from April to June 2026. To compensate for this delay Frontier released the Lynx Highliner for credits on 28 April 2026.[1][2] It's a thank-you to the fans for their “continued support and understanding.”[3] It is also available in the Pre-Built Ships store for 0 ARX, and the Frontier Store. This ship requires the Odyssey expansion.

Trivia

  • The Lynx Highliner is the first ship with functional ramps where commanders can walk to inside the hull until the doors.
