Point Defence Turret
The Point Defence Turret is defensive weapon equipment that can be mounted on the "utility mount". Once mounted, the Point Defence Turret will automatically shoot down incoming missiles.
Usage
There is some confusion in the forums on whether the Point Defence Turret needs to be part of a fire group. In Standard Beta 1.03, it is not possible to assign it to a fire group - yet after purchasing it in the shipyard, a message is displayed that you need to do so. The issue was resolved in Beta 2.0.
Ammunition
Make sure to restock on ammo. Upon purchasing, it is fully pre-stocked with munition.
