The Imperial Cutter is manufactured by Gutamaya, and is an Imperial counterpart to the Federal Corvette in this size class.

The Imperial Cutter is confirmed to debut in the 1.5 "Ships" update later in 2015.[1]

The Cutter features 4 medium hardpoints: 2 on the nacelles and 2 on the belly; 2 large hardpoints on top of the ship and 1 huge hardpoint on the chin. Notably, the exterior lights on the ship change color from blue to red once hardpoints are deployed.

Frontier Developments also confirmed it will have bad manoeuvrability and a high top speed. It is the largest player piloted ship as of 1.5 Beta 3.

It has with its 792T cargo capacity the largest cargo bay a playable ship can have, topping the Type-9 with 260T more cargo space, over 48% more space, while having significantly better manoeuvrability and speed than the Type-9. This will make it the most logical choice for traders.
