Template:Quote The Imperial Eagle was added in the v1.4 update CQC on October 6th, 2015. The concept art image was shown during Frontier's Q&A session at Lavecon 2015 and it is variant of the Eagle MkII; also known as Eagle MkIII. It is faster than the Eagle MkII at the cost of a lower manoeuvrability.[1]
It boasts superior armour and shield strength in addition to one medium Hardpoint replacing one of the three small hardpoints on the regular Eagle MkII. It is the third fastest ship in the game, with only the Cobra MkIII and the Clipper being faster.
The weapon hardpoints are located as follows: a single medium hardpoint on the top of the ship behind the cockpit and two small hardpoints mounted side-by-side on the underside of the main fuselage in front of the bump that contains the cargo scoop.
Purchase Locations
According to the Powerplay players' guide, all Imperial ships can be found on Zemira Torval controled systems (Not exploited systems, just controled ones), Tested on Jan 3rd, 2015 and all the 4 imperial ships were found in Zeterat System (Skjellerup Terminal), and Amphisatsu System (Goldberg Orbital). [2]
