A Conflict Zone (Signal Source) is a location where two factions within a system are actively fighting. While a civil war is active in a system, the various factions in and around the system will hand out missions through the Bulletin Board that require the destruction of a number of ships found inside a conflict zone.
Players that enter normal space at these locations can choose which faction they would like to temporarily represent and fight against the opposing faction's ships. For each opponent the player kills the player is rewarded with a combat voucher which can be redeemed for credits at any station in the system. Between bounties and combat vouchers, fighting in conflict zones can be a profitable venture for players who are skilled in combat.
Combat bounty vouchers are different depending upon the ship type. Heavy fighters and small nimble fighters are worth more than most ships. Table below shows voucher prices for each ship seen inside a Conflict Zone
| Ship | Price (Cr) |
|---|---|
| Anaconda | 30,000? |
| Asp Explorer | ? |
| Cobra Mk. III | 3,000 |
| Eagle Mk. II | ? |
| Empire Fighter | 1,000 |
| F63 Condor | 1,000 |
| Farragut Battle Cruiser | ? |
| Imperial Clipper | ? |
| Majestic Class Interdictor | ? |
| Python | ? |
| Viper Mk III | 4,000 |
Notes
- Will be displayed (and lockable) in the Navigation panel when the player's ship is close enough to a spawned zone.
- Conflict zones are referred to as a "Warzone" in mission descriptions.
- Almost all NPCs that spawn in conflict zones are combat NPCs aligned with one of the two warring factions.
Third-Party Apps
These third-party apps are not affiliated with Frontier Developments nor Wikia in any shape. Here you can find conflict zones reported by various pilots.
