Beam Lasers are high-damage thermic-based weapons that operate on energy. Once fired, a pinpoint laser beam exits the weapon mount and causes immediate damage to any vessel surface it collides with, especially at effective range.

Beam lasers can be fired continuously for as long as sufficient weapons energy is available or until weapon overheating sets in.

Infamous for their high power consumption, beam lasers belong to the most damaging weapons in the game. With their pinpoint accuracy and high penetration at close range, they are also highly effective for targeting specific subsystems of enemy ships.
