A [[Megaship]] is a class of massive ships that travel through the galaxy, and are utilized in a wide variety of roles.<ref name=":0">[https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php/332399-2-3-The-Commanders-Beta-Changelog Frontier Developments Forums - 2.3 The Commanders Beta - Changelog]</ref> Comparable in size to most [[station]]s, and in some cases much longer, a number of megaships are also equipped with docking facilities for small, medium, and large vessels. All services normally available at stations are on offer, with the exception of the Shipyard. Currently, only NPCs can directly control Megaships, however it is possible for certain player groups -such as [[The Canonn|The Canonn Interstellar Research Group]], with their ship, [[The Gnosis]]- to own and control such a ship, with any and all actions having to be monitored and approved by [[Frontier Developments|the developers]].
