Elite: Dangerous is the latest installment of a long series of epic space games, starting with Elite by Ian Bell and David Braben - one of the most successful games of the 1980s. In the 1990s, David Braben created the sequels Frontier: Elite II and Frontier: First Encounters.
GOOD NEWS! E:D reached it's target of £1.25M on Kickstarter on 02-01-2013. This game will be made!
BETTER NEWS! E:D reached the highest of its stretch goals. Now there will be Mac support 3 months after PC launch and there will be an additional 10 ships in the game at launch! Funding completed 05-01-2013 00:00.
