Frame Shift Drive (SCO): Difference between revisions
the MkII drive does take some damage from supercharging. also, overcharging is something different. |
After 60 ly and hundreds of supercharged jumps using it, I can confirm that the MKII FSD does not take any additionnal damage when supercharging. All modules take some damage when travelling, and after many supercharged jumps, the FSD MKII is not more used than other modules, it takes no additional damage, like other FSDs do. |

The Mk II Supercharge Optimised Frame Shift Drive (SCO) is an improved FSD that provides a greater range boost for hyperspace jumps when superchanging (fuel scooping from the jet cones of white dwarf and neutron stars). The bonus reaches 200% and 500% respectively, multiplying jump range by x3 and x6 respectively. Unlike all other Frame Shift Drives, the Mk II Supercruise Overcharge (SCO) Frame Shift Drive does not suffer the standard flat 1% damage when supercharging. | ||
