In Odyssey, ships may be fitted with the specialized Frame Shift Drive (SCO) that includes Supercruise Overcharge. They are designated with "(SCO)" and only available in a size that matches the ship's FSD housing - no larger, no smaller. It can be overcharged during supercruise via the "Boost" button to enable acceleration to hundreds of times the speed of light in mere seconds. Overcharging quickly results in great fuel usage and severe heat buildup, and may require the use of either additional Fuel Tanks or Heatsink Launchers to keep stable for longer periods of time. Frame-Shift Drives capable of overcharging are more expensive to purchase than standard drives but can still be boosted by Engineering. | In Odyssey, ships may be fitted with the specialized Frame Shift Drive (SCO) that includes Supercruise Overcharge.
