Cargo Canisters are containers that are used to transport different goods across the galaxy. A filled canister weighs approximately 1 tonne. All Commodities transported in the Cargo Racks of Ships and SRVs do so in canisters.

Various other objects, such as Black Boxes, Occupied Escape Pods, and Unknown Artefacts conform to the canister form factor closely enough to be compatible with standard cargo racks.

Appearance

Each cargo canister is shaped like an octagonal prism and is about the size of a full grown man. They have details on the canister describing the type of commodity inside, and each one is unique.
