This vessel come with two variants: the Standard and Stellar variant. These can be found and bought in the Pre-Built Ships selection found in the main menu. The Standard variant have the nearly same Outfitting as of normal ships. The Stellar variant, unlike other ships, come equipped with four Multi-Cannon and two Pulse Laser as the ship's default outfitting, while other ships does not have Multi-Cannon as their default Outfitting.

The Python MkII's Cargo Scoop can contain ten canisters before the cargo bay is at maximum capacity without upgrades. This, however, are fewer than the cargo capacity of a normal Python. The Python also can travel sightly better compare to the normal Python  and have a higher unladen jump range than the normal Python. However, normal Python can afford a 30 ly jump by upgrade the FSD, while the Python can only afford a 18 ly jump and upgrade it can only increase 0.65 ly.
The Mk II can carry ten canisters or 10 tonne at maximum capacity without upgrades. This is significantly less than the 82 tonne cargo capacity of the original Python.

With its superior hull, the Python MkII come equipped with a 5C supercruise overcharge Frame Shift Drive, which have lower thermal load, slower fuel consumption, acceleration and deceleration while overcharging. Python MkII, after added to the Shipyard, will have more expensive price than the normal Python.
The Mk II has a higher default unladen jump range of 17.85 ly versus 8.23 ly. However, the upgraded FSD's jump range is worse at 18.41 ly versus 30.45 ly of the Mk I.

For improved speed, firepower and defence, Python MkII will have fewer internal space. The Python MkII is also quite harmful, as it have six hardpoints space which can takes down a larger ships. Equipping this vessel with Seeker Missile Rack and occupy it on all hardpoint slots with this weapon is ideal on Piracy, Bounty Hunting, Assassination missions while equipping this vessel with AX weapons on Xeno Hunting. With its enhanced manoeuvrability, it can takes down smaller ships.
The Mk II has a superior hull better handling due to the equipped 5C  Frame Shift Drive (SCO). It has a lower thermal load, slower fuel consumption, better acceleration and deceleration while overcharging. The Mk II costs more 79 million credits versus 57 million credits of the Mk I.

The Mk II's 6 hardpoints makes it more lethal in combat. It's suitable for Piracy, Bounty Hunting, Assassination missions and Xeno Hunting. Its enhanced maneuverability makes it better at tackling small ships.

The Python Mk II is a multipurpose ship manufactured by Faulcon DeLacy. The Mk II is a redesign of its predecessor, the Python.

Overview

This vessel come in two variants: Standard and Stellar. The Stellar version is listed in the Pre-Built Ships section via the main menu. The Standard variant has nearly identical Outfitting as normal ships. The Stellar variant is equipped by default with four Multi-Cannons and two Pulse Lasers.

The Mk II can carry ten canisters or 10 tonne at maximum capacity without upgrades. This is significantly less than the 82 tonne cargo capacity of the original Python.

The Mk II has a higher default unladen jump range of 17.85 ly versus 8.23 ly. However, the upgraded FSD's jump range is worse at 18.41 ly versus 30.45 ly of the Mk I.

Development

Frontier announced that this ship will be added with a free update in 2024. A developer update on 23 Apr 2024, revealed the release date on 7 May 2024 for 16,250 ARX, and 3 months later on 7 Aug 2024 for all players forcredits.

This is the first new ship added to ED in 6 years. Elite partners got early access on a test server on 1 May 2024.[1]
