# EDIT: Disable Virtual Cache in the options before verifying the files, not doing so can slow down the process a lot on slow PC's. Also, it may take a while for the launcher to get past "preparing for update" (20+ min on old hard disks (it's less than a minute on NVMe). I didn't disable the cache but I also have a very fast M.2 NVMe drive. <br />
