The Planetary Approach Suite is a specialised module that complements Thrusters and allows a ship to enter Orbital Cruise and land on the surface of terrestrial bodies. It is installed by default on all ships in a reserved Optional Internal compartment, and consumes no power or fuel.

The Planetary Approach Suite is a module that allows you to both enter orbital cruise and land on planets. It is supplied as default equipment with every ship, but can be sold and repurchased.  It fits in the Planetary Approach Suite module slot. Currently, there is only one type of planetary approach suite available, an I rated class 1 module. Whether there will be more available in the future remains to be seen.

To use this module, all the pilot has to do is have it fitted to the ship and fly towards a planetary body and enter the orbital cruise region around the body.
The functions of the Planetary Approach Suite are fully automatic. All that a pilot has to do in order to use it is to ensure it is installed. Upon approaching a planetary body and entering Orbital Cruise, the Planetary Approach Suite will activate additional HUD elements to help orient the pilot. If the pilot attempts to land on a suitable body, the module also activate and maintain Glide mode once the ship descends to an altitude of 25 kilometers.
