I have never had any problem moving my python or anaconda in any planetary ring or anything that has prevented me from getting to any particular asteroid. Even the npc piloted Type 9 heavy's dont seem to have much of a problem other than pirates. With the way things stand in the game with current modules, bigger ships will make more profit per resupply/unload in that they have the space to fit a shield generator, a refinery, a collector limpit controller, a prospector limpit controller, and adequate cargo space to carry a sufficient number of limpits to selectively go after the more valuable minerals and still have space to carry what they mine so that they do not have to make a decision between jettisoning mined material or limpits in order to mine more minerals. As stated before, even if a big ship was unable to move close enough to mine all the asteroids in a clump, they still will be able to mine a high percentage (greater than 75%) of the asteroids in a ring filled with thousands to millions of asteroids. That alone should negate any argument about not being able to fit in some very rare spots. |

As for removing the recommended ship list, if you remove it from the mining article just because it prompts debate and has ships that go against a single admin's opinion, then all the recommended ship lists should be removed out of fairness because they to could be subject to such debates. This means no recommended trading ships, no recommended pirating ships, no recommended combat ships, and no recommended exploration ships. Recommended ship lists are just that, recommendations. Just because a ship isn't on a recommended list doesn't mean it woun't suit that role for someone's playstyle. An example would be a bounty hunting Type-9, it can be done, most wouldn't like it, but a few might. But as a wiki that is supposed to serve the majority of players (new and veteran alike), removing things that a majority of players could find helpful just because it is against the opinion of a minority does both the players and the wiki a disservice.
As a note to JazHaz, throughout this whole debate it has been quite dishearting to see an admin ignore wiki policies to promote their own opinions as evidenced by your actions of banning a user for a good faith edit and ignoring the article dispute lock on the miner page.
I vote that big ships should stay in the recommended list of mining ships.
