Can we please get a consistent written policy on the use of the minor edit functionality?  I have been seeing a very substantial increase in the number of edits made that have had the minor edit checkbox checked, and although for some reason most of these edits are showing on the wiki activity log, I know it is not always the case that they do.  Previously the minor edit function was one of the go to ways to try to hide page vandalism.  I feel we need a set policy of when it is appropriate to use this function so that instead of having to have a lengthy discussion with each and every user who is not using the function for its proper purpose, we can just point them to the policy and say warning: please abide by this policy.<ac_metadata title="Minor Edit function Policy"> </ac_metadata>
