In September 2014 Frontier announced that the Eagle will become a second starting ship for all players who pre-order the game, including existing beta and Kickstarter supporters. This additional Eagle will be a second ship that will be parked in a different system, which players can take control of instead of their starting ship. The reason behind this is many of the commanders believe this ship is weak and powerless amongst all other ships. | In September 2014 Frontier announced that the Eagle will become a second starting ship for all players who pre-order the game, including existing beta and Kickstarter supporters.
