Well i was in a similar situation once, although i was flying a clipper and was being interdicted by a courier. I blew him up before he could start shooting by ramming into him at full speed. Maybe the same happened to you.

Well i was in a similar situation once, although i was flying a clipper and was being interdicted by a courier. I blew him up before he could start shooting by ramming into him at full speed. Maybe the same happened to you.
The blocks instead of letters where a common bug at some point after 1.3, but i think it's been fixed. And you probably changed some part of your ship recently (maybe a shield cell bank or a shield booster) which might have messed up your power management.
