Combat Bond Vouchers are monetary rewards earned through faction combat in conflict zones.
Each time upon entering a conflict zone players have the unique opportunity to side with a faction (by setting the preferred faction in-game in the Systems panel under Functions) in order to battle the opposition. For each destroyed ship combat bond vouchers are handed out and which, in turn, can be redeemed at the local station's combat bond contact.
The amount of rewarded credits for each destroyed ship is fixed and depends upon ship type. In general it goes that the heavier a ship, the higher the reward.
Ship Reward (CR) Imperial Fighter 4,000 F63 Condor 4,000 Eagle MkII 8,000 Cobra MkIII 16,000 Imperial Courier 16,000 Viper MkIII / MkIV 20,000 Asp scout 24,000 Asp Explorer 28,000 Vulture 36,000 Imperial Clipper 44,000 Federal Dropship 44,000 Federal Assault Ship 44,000 Python 52,000 Anaconda 72,000 Federal Corvette 80,000 Imperial Cutter 80,000
Notes
- The reward range for combat bond vouchers seems meager compared to bounty vouchers. However note that you are in a co-operative battle.
- Prioritize Federal Corvettes, Imperial Cutters, Anacondas and Pythons. If there are none in scanner range, use "Select highest threat" targeting control to find your next target, regardless of their Combat Bond value - at least one or more Friendlies will engage same target, giving you a wingman - this makes fighting bigger ships much easier. Because this is a co-operative battle it is acceptable to get in on kills etc.
- By continuously eliminating the same target as NPC Friendlies, you will be able to establish a power ball of friendly ships, which will steamroll around your Conflict Zone. It occasionally breaks up when it comes on a fresh spawn of Hostile ships. Watch your radar for large concentrations of hostile ships, and if you spot your Friendlies heading in that direction, simply let them charge in, then go in for assist on heaviest Hostile ship and start over.
- The value of combat bond vouchers is directly affected by the number of members within a wing, although it is easier to coordinate attacks on larger ships a party of two in a wing will only be rewarded with 40,000 for defeating a hostile Federal Corvette. If playing within a party to maximize credit bonds it is best to go in and then break the wing up.
