The current sovereign ruler of the Empire faction is Emperor Arissa Lavigny-Duval.
Hengist Duval came to power in 3233 after the death of is father, the former Emperor, Hesketh Duval.
Hengist Duval was assassinated on August 5, 3301, with no heir apparent.
Hengist Duval retained the throne until a successor was enthroned. Arissa was selected as successor by a majority Senate vote,[1] with the coronation (and thus transfer of title) scheduled for the 18th of October, 3301.[2] Arissa Lavigny-Duval was crowned Emperor in a ceremony at the Imperial Palace, on Capitol in the Achenar system.[3]
