Ranks are earned by doing activities in the galaxy. The Pilots Federation ranks all pilots in combat, trade, exploration and CQC from harmless to elite. Additional ranks can be earned with the Federal Navy and Imperial Navy to gain special missions, ships and system permits.

Federal Navy Ranks

There are 14 ranks in the Federal Navy. Highly ranked players are allowed access to special Federation missions and ships, and are granted permits to access restricted systems.

CQC Ranks

The Close Quarter Combat Championship is an arena combat game within Elite: Dangerous, with team, deathmatch, and capture the flag modes, and is separate from the shared galaxy gameplay.
