The Power Distributor takes power from the [[Power Plant]], and distributes it to the ships Systems, Engine, and Weapons. It has a capacitor bank for each system, and a recharge capability. Larger capacitors can last longer without being recharged. A better recharge capability means the capacitor will recharge quicker.
The Power Distributor takes power from the [[Power Plant]], and distributes it to the ships Systems, Engine, and Weapons. It has a capacitor bank for each system, and a recharge capability. The capacity is the maximum charge in a capacitor, and recharge shows how many power units per second are recharged if that capacitor is at full (four pips). The recharge rate directly correlates to the number of pips. For example, if the 1E Distributor has two pips in Weapons, it will recharge at a rate of .6 power units per second. This means you could fire a single fixed beam laser for approximately six seconds before it overheats.
