When first released, the Corsair had a [[Mass Lock|mass lock]] factor of 7, which is unusually low for a ship of its size. This placed its mass locking ability on par with much smaller ships such as the [[Adder]] or Imperial Courier. This oversight was fixed in the Trailblazers Update 3 on 30 April, 2025.<ref>https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/elite-dangerous-trailblazers-update-3-now-live.636973/</ref>

* The Corsair proved somewhat controversial with cmdrs at release due to it's 600m/s speed limit. In reality, every ship in the game has a maximum speed limit, though it's rare for most to reach this outside of a low-mass builds. The Corsair is the first ship that can reach it's speed limit with undersized 6A thrusters. This is something of a feature however, and does not make 7A thrusters obsolete on the ship; while 6A allows the ship to reach it's maximum speed on a low-mass build, 7A thrusters allow it consistently retain it's speed and handling even in high mass, hull tank combat builds.
