Colony development
A player becomes a system architect after an empty star system is successfully claimed by building a primary starport.[1] There can be only 1 architect per system.[1] That person stays the architect forever.[1] It requires lots of commodities to expand a colony.[1] There are no upkeep costs.[1] After colonising a system, they can build a starport[2] The facilities such as settlements, outposts determine the economy and trade in the system.[2] A player can be the architect of countless systems.[1] If you move on to another system then the BGS takes over. The previous colony stays the same, but you can return to develop it further.[1]
